16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.

— John 15:16-17

Matthew

The Beginning.

Growing up, Matthew’s family was not regularly involved or invested in church. Fortunately through a call to salvation at the age of 6, he saw his life changed by an encounter with Jesus. Knowing the helplessness all people feel to enact lasting change apart from Christ, Matthew is passionate about seeing those who know about Christ come to know Him intimately.

The Call.

Through classes at Missouri State University on Islam and Islamic culture, Matthew noticed a need for people to show love and genuine interest in the lives of Muslims. During a missionary presentation at High Street Church in Springfield, MO, Matthew began to understand the interest he had in Muslims and post-Christian societies could be best put to use on the mission field in Europe.

The Confirmation.

After much prayer alongside Tabby and conversations with wise people, Matthew began to see God opening doors to pursue a life on the mission field in Germany. This calling was confirmed through the support of High Street Church and Greater Europe Mission. Matthew’s desire is to know people deeply and to encourage those who are lonely or hurting with the truth of the Gospel of Jesus.

Tabby

The Beginning.

Tabby was raised in a Christian home and accepted Christ at the age of 5 when she understood that no decision was more important than having a relationship with Christ. A few years later, she and her family moved to Scotland as missionaries. There, she saw the need for Christ among the nations.

The Call.

Early in life, Tabby developed an interest in missions by seeing her parents and family friends surrender to life as missionaries. God cultivated this interested into a calling by trips in high school to Asia and the Middle East. Through those times, God showed Tabby the dire need for missionaries to come alongside nationals to build up the church. Eventually, He showed her she could be one of the people to go to the nations.

The Confirmation.

After graduating from college with a degree in Intercultural Studies, Tabby began earnestly praying and patiently waiting for God to show her how to pursue a life in missions. A close friend introduced her to Greater Europe Mission. Through prayer and seeking wise counsel, Tabby and Matthew began pursuing the idea to move to Germany to minister to Germans, Muslims, and displaced people. Her hope is to see lives changed by the Gospel of Jesus.
